Established in 1973 Poor Richard's Cafe has been an institution in Plano for many years. In its early days it was known as Park Mall Restaurant. Back in the 70's and 80's Plano expanded rapidly.

Building trades people and locals frequented the tiny café. Completely remodeled in 2000, we went from 160 seats to 280. In the last 3 years, we freshened the looks with new carpeting and updated look. For many years we were almost a man's restaurant because of our large portions. Today we appeal to families, children and women because of our value, good food and friendliness. The menu has grown from the original 60 items to 125 entrees. Many of the customers have been coming in for 30 years. Today we have 2nd generation kids coming in with their children. And they still LOVE us.
